Brisbane Broncos played host to another gathering of the brethren and their families. Organised by Tony and Paola Vecchio, the event saw us gathering for a nosh up on the sea food night at Red Hill. About twenty people were there and in true masonic spirit the warmth and regard for each other was obvious. We were joined on this occasion by Dennis and Denise Johnson. Dennis, who puts out a monthly newsletter to int
erested brethren, I am sure was gathering intelligence for an upcoming article. As usual we were there long after the food had stopped being consumed and joined in the 101 conversations on the go all around the table. These out of lodge events prove to me once again that Freemasonry is alive and well outside the lodge room. There is much more to being a mason than what happens at a meeting and this Friday was a classic example of it.
